ABOUT THE LINKIN PARK SCRAPBOOK

To add to my already busy schedule and numerous hobbies, I have decided on a new craft project: my second ‘proper’ scrapbook of Linkin Park lyrics.  (I have always kept notebooks and such things, but my ‘first scrapbook’ was a culmination of my favourite poems/ quotes/ memories etc. – this is now taking it a step further as it has a more unified theme).

There’ll be a post for every page in  the scrapbook and I will show you what each page looks like and maybe I’ll add a post here or there describing what I did and why I chose to do it that way.

Due to the size of my scrapbook and because I had to start somewhere I am sticking to the ‘main’ albums Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns and LIVING THINGS. However, even before I have started making this one I already have plans for a related scrapbook sometime in the future featuring other albums/songs etc. (e.g. Reanimation).
  • Creating the Linkin Park Scrapbook:  Posts describing what I did and why I chose to do it that way
  • Albums:  Pictures of the original Linkin Park Scrapbook can be found here.
  • Reanimation:  Even before I started creating the Linkin Park scrapbook I already had an idea for the second one, which allows me to create an album related to Reanimation.  That should be fun because the album artwork is so amazing.  When the time comes, my initial idea was to ‘reanimate’ the pages from the original Linkin Park Scrapbook to create hybrid pages in a similar style to the hybrid form of the album.
  • Link-in Poetry:  This section links Linkin Park lyrics with  some of my favourite poems for a variety of different reasons.  It actually started with one of my other favourite bands (the Manic Street Preachers) and the link between their song ‘Ready for Drowning’ and ‘Not Waving but Drowning’ by Stevie Smith.
